Get ready for the first day of school. Students return to school on Monday, August 18. School offices will reopen on Monday, August 13 to assist with back-to-school needs. We're excited to welcome everyone back for another great year.
As a parent, you give so much of yourself every day—to your children, your family, your work. It’s easy to put your own well-being last. But your mental health matters—not just for you, but for the people who rely on you. Explore these free and confidential mental health resources designed to support the well-being of all families, with options that reflect the cultural values and languages of Latino, Asian American, and other communities in Santa Clara County.
Registrations for grades TK–8 for the 2025–2026 school year are still being accepted. The eligibility window for transitional kindergarten (TK) has expanded. Children born between September 2, 2020, and September 1, 2021, are now eligible to apply. To learn more and begin the registration process, visit www.eesd.org/enrollment. You’ll find details about the documents required to complete your registration.
Starting in the 2025-26 school year, all children who turn four years old on or before September 1, 2025 are eligible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten (TK). This expansion of TK aims to provide all young learners with a strong foundation for academic success. TK offers a developmentally appropriate learning environment where children can explore their curiosity, build social-emotional skills, and develop a love of learning. Attendance Matters
How many absences are too many? Chronic absence is defined as 18 days a year—or just 2 days a month. Call your student's school office if you have questions about your student's attendance.
A child’s success in school is best assured when the school and the home collaborate their efforts. Parent involvement in a child’s school gives the message to students that education is an important community effort. Here are just a few ways that you can get involved at LeyVa.
Come and enjoy a cup of coffee while you chat with our school leaders and other parents. Meetings are every Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Zoom meeting links are emailed to parents.
