Yes. Students living within the LeyVa attendance area will receive priority over students attending schools outside of the attendance area. For families who live within the LeyVa boundary, applying to Bulldog Tech is an automatic option. 

Yes. The Bulldog Tech application includes a student essay submission, which is a required component of the application process. The essay is not used for evaluation. Instead, it gives students an opportunity to share why they are interested in LSI and helps our staff begin building meaningful relationships with prospective students.

We believe applying to Bulldog Tech is a family decision, and the student essay ensures that student voice is included in that process. Applications submitted without a student essay will be considered incomplete and will not be accepted.

There are 150 available spaces for incoming 7th graders. Applications are date- and time-stamped and processed in the order received by the school registrar. Applications will be accepted until the program is filled. Once all 150 spaces are filled, additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist in the order their applications are received.

Grades are not a determining factor. Bulldog Tech is an option for all students in LeyVa Middle School's attendance area that choose to apply.

Students in the LeyVa attendance area will remain at LeyVa Middle School and receive a Bulldog Pathways (traditional) schedule.

Once your student is enrolled in Bulldog Tech, you will not need to re-enroll them again. It is understood, based on the application, that Bulldog Tech is a two-year commitment for 7th and 8th grade.
