Thank you for your interest in Bulldog Tech. Our online application for the 2026–27 school year will open in spring 2026. We’ll share the exact dates as soon as they are available.

Thank you for considering Bulldog Tech for 7th and 8th grades for your child. We invite you to learn more about our program on our Bulldog Tech website and attend our Open House in Spring 2026. You can find our campus at 1865 Monrovia Drive in San Jose.

Students must be enrolled in Evergreen School District (ESD) to attend Bulldog Tech. Completing the Bulldog Tech online application does not automatically enroll your child in ESD. In the application process section below, please select what best describes your student status then follow the steps outlined to begin applying.

Application Information

We begin accepting applications typically in April. Completed applications and all supporting documents must be turned in to LeyVa Middle School office located at 1865 Monrovia Drive, San Jose. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Students Living in LeyVa Middle School Attendance Area

Students Living in Chaboya or Quimby Oak Attendance Areas

Follow these steps in this order if you are currently an Evergreen School District student and live in Chaboya Middle School or Quimby Oak Middle School attendance areas:

Submit this School Choice transfer application to Jessica Villalobos jvillalobos@eesd.org in the District Office.
Complete Bulldog Tech's online application.
Completed applications must be received prior to registration the registration deadline.

Students who do not follow this process will not have a completed application.

Students Living Outside ESD Attendance Area

If you live outside the attendance boundaries of Evergreen School District follow these steps in this order to apply to Bulldog Tech:

Request an Interdistrict Transfer first, BEFORE filling out the Bulldog Tech Application.
Complete Bulldog Tech's online application.
Completed applications must be received prior to the registration deadline.
After receiving your notification of approval from Bulldog Tech you then enroll in Evergreen School District by visiting New Student Registration. Completing the Bulldog Tech online application does not automatically enroll your child in ESD.

Students who do not follow the process described above will not have a completed application.

How do I apply to attend Bulldog Tech?

Bulldog Tech has an application form that needs to be submitted online. Go to the Application Process section of this webpage and follow the application instructions. Please contact LeyVa's office if you are having trouble accessing the online application. Applications include a student essay submission. This submission is not evaluative, but a necessary component of our application process. We want all students to share with us why they've chosen Bulldog Tech. It is an important part of building initial relationships with our potential student body. Applying to Bulldog Tech is a family decision and we believe that students should also have a say in what works best for how they learn. Applications without an essay submission will not be accepted.

To attend Bulldog Tech, students must be enrolled in Evergreen School District (ESD). Completing the Bulldog Tech online application does not automatically enroll your child in ESD. Please follow the steps outlined under the Application Process section of this webpage.

How many spaces are available to incoming 7th graders?

There are 150 available spaces for incoming 7th graders. Applications are accepted beginning in March. All applications will be date/time stamped and placed on the enrollment list by the school registrar. We will accept applications until the program is filled. After 150 applications have been received the following applications will be placed on a waitlist in the order they were received.
