Athletics Overview

Welcome to LeyVa Athletics! LeyVa Middle School is proud to offer a diverse range of after-school sports throughout the academic year. We encourage all students to participate, stay active, and show their Bulldog pride!

At the beginning of the school year, students receive the dates for tryouts or sign-ups for each sport. Below are the sports offered at LeyVa and the season in which they start:

Participation Requirements

All student athletes must meet the following requirements to participate in our athletic program.

Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. No Ds, Fs, or U citizenship grades.
Have appropriate insurance coverage
Submit all required forms, which are all handled through the online registration portal:

✔️ Online Registration: Must be submitted prior to the tryout date.
✔️ Parent Permission Slip: Completed digitally during registration.
✔️ Concussion Information Slip: Signed digitally by both parent and student during registration.

Accident Insurance

Voluntary Accident Insurance for Students

What if my child already has health insurance?
This plan acts as secondary coverage. It can help pay what your main insurance does not cover—such as deductibles, co-pays, or benefit limits.

What if my child does not have health insurance?
This plan becomes primary coverage. It helps cover eligible medical expenses directly, giving families a safety net for accident-related costs.

Why consider it?
Accidents happen at school, during sports, and even outside of school. This low-cost insurance helps protect families from unexpected medical bills.

East Side Athletic League

All LeyVa students are welcome to participate in athletics. Due to team size limitations, tryouts are held for basketball, soccer, volleyball, and flag football. Cross country, wrestling, and track and field are no-cut sports and are open to all eligible students.
